Who Is Perry English
Perry English is a stone and brick artist, excelling in every facet of the trade. He has been in the masonry business for over 30 years, which has only increased his passion for what he does.
He grew up in the little town of Painted Post, NY where he learned the value of hard work and determination. His father was a fine wood craftsman and his loving mother was a banker at the local bank.
He worked hard as a young man mowing lawns for his neighbors and having his own paper route. He was raised with a good work ethic and the importance of helping others.
He began his masonry journey by answering an apprentice ad. He soon began laboring for Todd Ansted of Columbus Fireplace and instantly fell in love with the trade. Todd specialized in historic restoration and fireplaces and soon saw the talent that Perry possessed. One of Perry’s first jobs was rebuilding five chimneys on an 1850’s historic brick mansion. This began his love for restoration and preserving the quality and purity of masonry architecture.
He moved from apprentice to journeyman in a very short time and took advantage of an opportunity to restore a one room school house which launched Cornerstone Masonry.
Perry believes that every job should be done the right way, without compromise and strives to complete each project knowing that the customer is not only satisfied but also in love with what he’s done.
